A vintage key rarely looks like a simple tool. That is the pull of old keys and locks. They sit at the crossroads of craft, privacy, fear, and trust. A key might have guarded a hope chest, a hotel room, a rail depot cabinet, or a family Bible box. The lock it once served may be long gone, but the story is not always lost.
